Game #1 Home Carroll County
Result: Called due to weather
The
Junior Varsity Football team began the season against the Carroll
County Cavaliers at the Smith River
Sports Complex. The young squad had some early mistakes that led to two scores
for the Cavaliers. The JV Bengals then rallied with two scores; one coming from
Brandon Carter and another from Luke Ashworth. Carter and Ashworth also provided
two points each on the PAT conversions. Just before the half Carroll scored for
the third time, but failed the two point try, leaving the board at halftime 16
to 20 with the advantage to Carroll. The game was called a draw on account of
lightning and thunder just as the half ended. Although it was not a complete
game the JV team had shown strong poise and effort for the half.
The
Bengals play again on Thurs. 9/2/2010 at Patrick Henry.
RECORD: 0 – 0
