The
Junior Varsity Football team began the season against the Carroll
County Cavaliers at the Smith River
Sports Complex. The young squad had some early mistakes that led to two scores
for the Cavaliers. The JV Bengals then rallied with two scores; one coming from
Brandon Carter and another from Luke Ashworth. Carter and Ashworth also provided
two points each on the PAT conversions. Just before the half Carroll scored for
the third time, but failed the two point try, leaving the board at halftime 16
to 20 with the advantage to Carroll. The game was called a draw on account of

Game #5 Away Franklin County
Result: Won 30 – 28 OT
The
JV team traveled to Franklin

with much to prove in their last non-district game. The Bengals capitalized on
a Franklin

left in the fourth quarter, the JV managed a spectacular comeback. Carter hit
Chris Martin down field on a pass of 55 yards. Mackenzie Clark caught a Carter

by Martin. Carter scrambled for a TD and Martin added two on the PAT to even
the score as regulation ended. The Eagles won the toss in overtime and elected
to defend. The Bengal offense used all four
downs to get six and converted the PAT. Franklin County
